Dale and co at Animal House are amazing, knowledgeable folks who have been in the business for longer than many of us have been alive. This long standing local fish store / exotic animal store is well stocked with a ton of variety, with information at every corner. I definitely recommend visiting if you're looking for anything related to the care of fish, reptiles, amphibians, etc.

I went out today looking for 2 things. Large Clown Loaches and an above average Fire Eel. I decided to go to Corvallis and go to the Animal House. If you haven't been there, it's a little different than your typical fish store. Dale, who own the place, is by far the most knowledgeable person I've ever met when it comes to aquarium fish. I could honestly talk to him for hours. The Animal House has those fish that you don't find in your LFS. Yes, he has cichlids, but he has size and variety that you don't see. I was the today and brought home a beautiful 24" Fire Eel! He has 1 more FYI ;) . He has a Goonch Catfish!! When was the last time your LFS had one? Look, obviously I'm really happy about my day. I wish I had more money to spend there. It's quality over quantity. But if Dale doesn't have it, he knows how to get it. Thank you Dale!

Love this store. You will find healthy and unique species. Awesome staff. Great habitat essentials. Won’t go anywhere else now.

Close to perfect. The owner is knowledgable about everthing in the store, from the giant centipede to the saltwater fish. It's not always possible to get a good answer, but he's more than an employee. The fish I bought is doing very well after a week and I wish his store was closer, and I had more space. He knew, he knew more than me and you. The Royal Gramma fish he helped me with is amazing and, I can barely wait to go back for another animal for the tank, I already raise insects myself as one of my many hobbies. I live about 2 hours away and to make transitions easier, I bought some heat packs, I always have a styrofoam box in the vehicle for either foods or in this case a tropical fish. I'm just going to throw shade on anything in Portland, I've had my now 2nd saltwater tank since 2016 and I'm a searcher, I looked at other stores, and even considered buying online, but no, and if you are on the fence about saltwater, jump. It's easier than you think. I just wish I hadn't tried doing a reef tank this time, fish only is cake, you won't have a problem with algae, and go as big as you can, I actually had to downsize to a 20 gallon acrylic, which I like, ask the owner anything you

I love this place! The staff are well knowledgeable of all the animals and some. They have exotic animals and a well stocked supply of anything you will need for your new pet! Awesome place, local business, great service all n all 💯.
